Description: This is a complete set of 14 LaserDiscs of the TV version of "Neon Genesis Evangelion," broadcast on Japanese television from 1996 to 1998. Compared to the TV broadcast version, the LaserDisc edition features special additions, such as extended 30-second next episode previews and various minor corrections in the animation. During the transition to VHS and LaserDisc, the animation from the TV Tokyo broadcast version was revised, and the next episode previews were extended from 15 seconds to 30 seconds. Additionally, while the TV Tokyo broadcast included hiragana subtitles for the episode titles, these were removed in the VHS and LaserDisc versions. The release of the VHS and LaserDisc versions was initially paused after the 20th episode, with the remaining episodes released post-theatrical release. Episodes 21 through 24 include significant additions and corrections, such as cuts borrowed from the theatrical recap "Death" and new scenes and audio recordings. Episodes 25 and 26 include both the TV series versions and the corresponding movie versions "Air" and "Magokoro wo, Kimi ni" ("The End of Evangelion"). While the content of these episodes is the same as the theatrical versions, there are some differences. The initial DVD release followed the VHS and LaserDisc versions, including episodes 25 and 26.
