This prized framed lithograph is highly sought after by wildlife artwork collectors everywhere and represents one of the most famous examples of Ned's most well known work. Ned Smith has been called the premier wildlife artist of Pennsylvania, and the popularity of his art certainly bears this out. His untimely death in 1985 ended perhaps the most unique art career of our time. Ned's artwork and illustrations have been featured on the covers of over 20 magazines and 14 books, including the Pennsylvania Game News. His awards include the Baltimore Art Director's Gold Medal Award, the American Association for Conservation Education's Award of Merit, as well as, numerous wildlife and waterfowl show awards. This print was published in 1983, only two years before his death, with an image size of 25"W x 16-1/2"H.
