Description: Original WW2 U.S. Army 9th Infantry Division uniform attributed to (George) Robert Blackburn. The uniform consists of Blackburn's coat, pants, shirt, and tie. Blackburn was with 9th Infantry Division from France to the end of the war.The uniform jacket has a wool 9th ID patch, 3 overseas bars, Infantry collar discs, Combat Infantryman Badge, and a 3-place ribbon bar with Good Conduct, American Campaign, and European Theare with 4 battle stars.The jacket has three pinhead sized moth bites to the back. the pants have two pin sized moth bites to the front and back. The shirt and tie appear to be moth free. Overall, the uniform is in excellent clean condition.The uniform does not have Robert Blackburn's name ink to it but, does include a note attributing it to him in the front pocket. Blackburn was a Professor at St. Louis University after the war.Included with the uniform is a small research packet on Robert Blackburn.
