Having sold the remaining supply of modified bolt bodies, I have received requests to offer a labor-only SERVICE to modify customer-owned bolt bodies, so I've decided to offer this service. To reiterate, I DO NOT PROVIDE THE BOLT BODY. TERMS- READ AND UNDERSTAND PRIOR TO PLACING YOUR ORDER!! DO NOT ORDER THIS SERVICE / SEND IN YOUR BOLT BODY IF IT HAS BEEN MODIFIED! As noted below, I retain the bottom "root" of the handle where it joins the bolt body to best retain the original appearance. I cannot do this modification if your bolt body has already been modified.I will endeavor to perform minimal cosmetic improvement to your bolt body as applicable (e.g., removal of surface rust). I do not "recondition" (attempt to remove major pitting, serial numbers, etc.)After receiving your order I will send you shipping instructions. PLEASE SEND YOUR BOLT WITH TRACKING INCLUDED. This is necessary to confirm that you did indeed ship, and that I received it. Naturally, it will be returned to you with tracking as well.I will perform the modification and send your bolt back to your Ebay shipping address within 5 working days (M-F) of my RECEIPT (not from when you shipped it). Return shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail. DETAILS OF SERVICE PROVIDED: I retain a "stub" of the original bolt handle, then forge/bend a 3/8" bolt to the proper radius, cut and WELD to the original handle stub. Grind, shape and polish by hand to the final product. The original military bolt knob is drilled out, and epoxied to the new handle. When completed, the length from the flat on the top of the bolt body to the bottom of the knob will be approximately 3", and the handle will be at 90 degrees (vertical) to best replicate the military configuration.
