A set of 35 individual British late pattern Fuel Cans available as ACC56. The British fuel cans, although larger and not a direct copy of the German "Jerrycan", were however clearly infuenced by the superb German design. These became available in 1944 and adorned, along with the earlier pattern "Flimsies" (ACC.04), all types of British AFV's. The difference in size between the British and American five Gallon Fuel Cans derived from the fact that a US pint is 16 fluid ounces but a British pint is 20 fluid ounces. Resultantly there were 160 fluid ounces in a British Imperial gallon (4.6 litres) and only 128 fluid ounces (3.7 litres) in a US gallon.These figures are from Milicast in the United Kingdom and are first quality.International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
