Description: In 1956, as a teenager, my father, his twin sister, and his parents won a trip to New York City as being the Workingest Family in America by the Denim Council, where they had a tour of New York's World Telegram & Sun. My father and his sister got an autographs from several notable people, including photographer Phyllis Twachtman and a signature and humorous doodle from staff writer Hugh O. Muir, and this listing is for the autograph book my father had with the signatures and drawing in it. Some of the autographs are to my dad, some to his sister, and some to "the Bourque's" which is their last name. Other signatures in this album are the captain and some of the crew from their Northeast Airline flight, a signature from Bob Shaw (they went to a Mets game, so I am not sure if this is the player or not), Bob Stelzer from the Denim Council that ran the contest my dad's family won, photographer from the NY Telegram and Sun Hope Johnson, 14 year old contest winner George L. Wright III, Peter Granina from Station WNYE, Valerie Weiss from station WNYC, Jessica Bradt and Doris Friedman from The Denim Council, and J.T. Benoit the Mayor of Manchester NH. There are more signatures from that trip, but I can't read some of them or know if they are famous or not. There are also signatures from family and friends of my dad and his family.
