Description: The seller came into possession of this typed, signed letter when a student at Santa Rosa Junior College, in Santa Rosa, California when with Midnight Ink, the student literary publication. The note has been in seller's possession since 1975. The poet -author, Maya Angelou, was at the time of writing the note living in Boyes Hot Springs, just north of town of Sonoma, California as an artist-in-residence. The editor of the literary magazine of the college sent copies of Midnight Ink to Angelou, and received the signed note in thanks.
