Description: Super Rare 1970 Ludwig Conga, Blue / Olive Emblem all Original Measures 12" diameter x 27" tall. Weighs 7lb 5oz. This is in pristine shape with the exception of the original head which has wear and a tear approximately 2 1/2" long on the along the edge (see photo). The instrument was used briefly as a prop in a stage show 12 years ago and has since been in a temperature controlled setting just looking pretty. The chrome is nice, theres slight pitting in some areas but no visible rust. The iconic blue/olive emblem has a scratch on the W (see photos). The blonde wood shell has NO DINGS, NO SCUFFS and the bottom edge and interior is looking good! Aside from that darned tear on the head and the scratch on the emblem this is super clean and so rare! A real treasure. Serial number 1881544 (Note: It oddly has a 7-digit SN but doesn't match with the 1976 sequence. I attached a pic of Ludwig's year/sn chart and since it doesn't fit any other number sequence I've had to deduce it was made in 1970.).
