Description: Selling are 2 Original photos, both measuring 7 1/2" X 9 1/2" and are both semi-glossy Double-Weight photos of LOUISE BROOKS, as photographed in 1926 by famed photographer, NICKOLAS MURAY. The photographer's stamp is in the lower right hand corner in white ink, as shown in the vintage original photo, which is sepia in color and is linen-backed. The stamp has faded and partially difficult to read, but is still there. On the back of the linen backed photo, is only the name of LOUISE BROOKS lightly written in pencil, as well as, a few numbers for filing purposes.The black and white photo was printed from the original negative by Mrs. Nickolas Muray, following the death of her famous husband, and was printed in the latter 1960s to early 1970s. There is a stamp for both Mrs. Muray and for the photographer, in black ink on the back of this photo. (See Scan) Although, the year of 1926 is not noted on these photos, this photo is from a famous sitting LOUISE BROOKS had with famed photographer, NICKOLAS MURAY, and is well documented.Selling are 2 original photos of the same image. One is a vintage original doubleweight linen-backed photo printed in 1926 of Louise Brooks and is quite sepia with some foxing, as shown. The toning does look better in person vs the scan, however, the toning is still not even toned. There is a few small light superficial creases near the right bottom corner. The other photo was printed later in the 1960s to early 1970s from the original negative on old fiber double-weight paper. This photo is in excellent condition with the most minimal handling wear and is a true black and white photo. (See Scan) Great Resolution and Focus.
