Description: KINE WEEKLY 6th July 1961. A scarce British trade magazine, originally distributed to cinema managers. It consequently had a low print run and not many copies survive today. Cinema trade magazines contained attractive full-page and double-page ads which were intended to be removed by cinema managers and displayed as posters to promote forthcoming attractions or to announce trade shows. These trade posters are often more rare than the full-size posters themselves. In fine condition; complete, no cuts. Cover: MGM ad. Inside: full-page ads for MARY HAD A LITTLE (Hazel Court), A COLD WIND IN AUGUST (Lola Albright); a double-page ad for GUNS OF NAVARONE (Gregory Peck); a double-page ad for ABSENT-MINDED PROFESSOR (Walt Disney); plus studio news, long reviews of all the latest films, ads, gossip and more.
