Description: This is the February 7, 1967 issue of LOOK magazine, published bi-weekly. The cover story is the book “The Death of a President” written by William Manchester, this is the second part, a 12-page excerpt from the book. (See my auction for Look magazines with parts one, three and four.) Other articles include an eye-opening one about revolutionary ministers and priests organizing against their churches parochial rules, an amazing pictorial of Japan of the time. Another is George Romney article about his wife, Lenore; an accomplished speaker and his best advocate. And a fun article about Jack Lemmon, a popular movie star of the time with several pics from his movies. While the ads are always a hoot, a glimpse into another era, I was amazed by one from Ford (cars) that promised a car with both a stick shift and an automatic. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that before. The magazine is in good condition; the staples and pages are tight and intact except that the center page is loose. The edges show wear and some slight creasing, no tears. Please see my other auctions for more collectible publications and political memorabilia.
