Description: Lego vintage castle set number 6080, King’s Castle, was produced in 1984 and contains 664 pieces (as per Peeron.com web site), which is inclusive of 12 mini figures (4 knights, 4 archers and 4 soldiers), 4 horses with saddles, 4 battle axes, 7 broadswords, 4 bows and quivers, 4 spears, 6 lances, 8 triangular shields, all of the same design but with two different color backgrounds, 4 mini figure capes, all of the same color, 13 flags in 2 different colors but all of the same design, 4 sets of three piece helmet plumes, each in a different color and each set having 3 different styles and sizes of plumes (a total of 12 plumes), 1 winch, two 16 x 22 green baseplates and one 16 x 32 green baseplate. Purchased new by the seller, the set is, with one substitution, 100% complete. A set of three different sized mini figure black plumes has been substituted for the set of three different sized mini figure blue plumes that originally came with the set. The set had extensive play so a number of the set’s pieces show wear in the form of scuffs, scratches, small nicks and/or other play marks. A number of the set’s pieces show some discoloration from sun exposure, but this exposure has not significantly altered the color of the pieces. One of the 16 x 22 green baseplates has a light stress line across its width but this has not cracked the baseplate. Includes the original Lego building instruction book for the set, which has no marks but does have a tear on its front cover that has been repaired with scotch tape and shows age related wear on its front cover, particularly along its edges, spine and the fold line that runs across the middle of the front cover. One set of pages has come loose from the staples that bind the building instruction book. The set is built on 3 base plates that are connected by hinge and torsion pin construction which allows the castle to be swung open for a different castle configuration. The castle has a winch operated drawbridge, which enables the drawbridge to be raised and lowered with ease. The gate behind the drawbridge can be raised and lowered by a string that is attached to the gate. The set was built and then disassembled by the seller to ensure completeness. The set is shipped disassembled.
