Description: This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-made sign featuring the Liberty Bell on both sides. It is a vintage admission sign and has a rustic, off-white color that adds character to any collection. The back side reads vertically "STOP" and horizontally. "USE SIDE DOOR." Light weight steel, not tin, and it is an original piece from the 1930s to the 1960s. There is a squareish stain around the 25 cent area. There was an old paper label showing 50 over the 25. The color of the 2 is different than the 5. Am thinking this very old sign began with admission of just 15 cents. One of the mount holes is torn thru. I have no idea if it was used for the original Liberty Bell, but it seems possible. May have also started life as a Bell Telephone sign as both sides show a ghost line diagonal sash band. Certainly one of a kind. # Folk Art, Primitive, Americana
