Description: This is an incredibly rare and beautiful oval faced circa 1930 Junghans Germany miniature desk / boudoir alarm clock. Beautiful original finished solid oak cabinet with delicate yet simple carving at base encompassing the clock face. Wonderful piece original untouched patina . The sturdy solid oak cabinet measures approximately 6 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall by 1 7/8 inches deep. The clock is 100 percent original and in untouched condition. The only thing we noticed was the time set knob missing. We have not attempted to remove the back panel. The clock currently is working. We let the clock run out, so we felt it was safe to wind it some. After doing so, the clock runs very strong and is continuous. No attempt has been made to set alarm, so it remains untested. NOTE: Obviously, there is no guarantee with a 94 year old original clock. The movement should be cleaned and adjusted for regular use. Fastened to the top of the clock, is a unique silver plaque with an inscription. The inscription reads: I P. K.I.F. O 79.5 kg 19-20 10- 30 The last line appears to read “October 19 & 20, 1930. Also appears to be German in origin with kilograms and the umlaut “O” in the text. The number “16” is incised at the underside of the clock. Please inspect all photos and ask questions. Sale is final. Thank you.
