Starter bolts directly to oil pan.. Exact replacement for JD models 316, 318, 420, and F910 with serial numbers up to 420,000 with the Onan B43E, B43G, B48G engines. Oil pan is JD part number is HE102-1271, if purchased new the last available retail price was $765 from JD. Dipstick is JD part number MIA11165 which is no longer available also. I have also seen this style pan used on Onan P218G engines installed in pre 420,000 serial number JD’s. Some dealerships installed the earlier style pan on P218G engines to eliminate the need to cut the tractor frames for clearance of the starter mounted solenoid style starter normally used on P218G, and P220G engines.
