Description: J. Garcia Acoma Pueblo Fine-Line Pillow Vase With Bear Claw Cut-OutsThis unique polychrome pillow vase was handmade by the Acoma potter J. Garcia who hand-painted the front it with traditional Acoma fine line designs and geometric patterns. She hand-painted the back of the piece with three distinct pictures of a bear, a parrot, and a pot. Adding to the beauty of this unusual piece are the expertly made bear-claw cut-outs along one shoulder of the vase. This unique pot measures 11” inches tall, 11” inches wide, and is 3” inches deep. It was acquired in 1998 from the Garcia family home during a visit to the top of the Acoma Pueblo Mesa. It is signed, “Acoma N.M. J. Garcia.” It has been owned by a collector in Maryland since then. J. Garcia is also known as Janet Garcia and she is related to the following Acoma artists: Shana and Lynette Garcia (sisters), Wilfred Garcia (brother), and Elliot and Zelda Garcia (parents). · If you have any question, please contact us before bidding—we want you to love these treasures as we do. · US Bidders Only.· Please make sure to look at all photos as they are part of the description.· All orders will be shipped out within the next 3 business days to the address provided by Ebay after receipt of payment. · We will accept returns and issue refunds only if our description is incorrect but you must contact us before sending any item back.
