Description: This is the Original (1sh) 1958 movie poster "IT! THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE". It was used by United Artists to promote this movie when it was released in 1958. It is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The movie stars Marshall Thompson, Shirley Patterson, Kim Spalding, Shawn Smith, Richard Benedict, Ann Doran, Dabbs Greer, and Ray Corrigan. It was directed by Edward L. Cahn. This partially restored movie poster is Rolled and measures 22" x 28". This size original movie poster is commonly referred to as a "Half Sheet". This poster has never been Folded. Prior to partial restoration, this original movie poster was graded a C7 Fine/Very Fine. Restoration corrected several faint scuff marks in the image area, a few chips along the borders and also partially touched up that horizontal crease at the top of the poster. This original 1958 movie poster is graded C8, Very Fine. Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc. It is very hard to find any original movie posters - not restored - in C10 Mint condition. The partial restoration to this poster was focused on the main image, including the above-described horizontal crease along the top 1/2" which extends into the dark blue background image area. The majority of more obvious flaws occur along the borders, which if we were grading only the borders, they would receive a C7 Grading or so. The main image would probably receive a C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint as the flaws in the image area are generally unobtrusive. Thus, we came up with an overall grade of C8 Very Fine. That said, you as the potential buyer can come to your own decision as to grade, and we give you as much description and photos of the flaws as we can so that you can make an informed decision. We do believe that the flaws along the borders can be greatly alleviated to an extent by proper framing. We believe that the original 1958 Half Sheet movie poster "IT! THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE" has excellent value and investment value. Most original movie posters from the two great decades of sci-fi and horror movies of the 1950s and 1960s have excellent value and investment value from the demand from collectors and fans alike. This original movie poster, "IT! THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE", is certainly one of those originals from those two decades that has and will continue to have excellent value and investment value. We also believe that the Half Sheet (22" x 28") maybe a tad rarer than its companion One Sheet (27" x 41").
