Description: Created to add push/pull fans to top of HYTE Y70 case. Applicable to cases with or without the added corner screen. This unit drops on top of case. You just pull the supplied HYTE grill off and this sits, and is located by the two pins on the extension. Before we had this on a case with a Intel i9-14900KS the idle temperatures were never lower than 39°C. By adding three Noctua 140mm 2,000 rpm fans to the top in a pull configuration we were able to being the idle temperatures down to 32°-34°. If you get conventional spinning fans for the additional pull units, you must be sure they are capable of pulling more air than the ones on the bottom of the stack or radiator. We also understand that another possible option is to use fans with reverse rotation. Several tests we have seen show this is also an effective solution. We have not tested this configuration ourselves though. The additional fans attach directly to the HYTE metal insert on top on the case. The Extension then is just placed on the computer. No fasteners are needed. The entire created top was computer printed and is created from high resin plastic and plexiglass.
