Description: New old stock, H&R and NEF Huntsman breech plug. For use with Harrington & Richardson .50 muzzleloaders and some New England Firearms Huntsman rifles in .50 caliber. This is the style that uses the plastic primer holder. This is the narrow style plug. I also have new old stock breech plug removal tools available, see my other listings. **********IMPORTANT FITMENT INFORMATION BELOW- READ BEFORE ORDERING************ There are two sizes in this style that were used for the Huntsman rifle, this one has a head wider than the threaded shaft, with the shaft measuring 5/8". The other size is all one width, the shaft is the same width as the head (it is much bulkier than this one). I have both sizes available, see my other listings. If you aren't sure what size you need, please compare the photos to your existing breech plug and/or take measurements of the breech area of your rifle so that we can determine the size needed. Please choose the correct one for your muzzleloader and if you aren't sure just ask! Some rifles had a different plug altogether with two holes for spanner pins for removal instead of the wide slot cut in the head like this one. The plugs are not interchangeable and I do not have any stock of the early pin-removed style. Use at your own risk. Have a qualified gunsmith inspect and install all parts before use.
