Description: On offer, we have an original 1972 poster by Hans Burkhardt. "One World" was a poster for the McGovern Shriver presidential election campaign. This off-set lithograph is signed in the print "H Burkhardt 1972" and hand inscribed in pencil "To Joe (peace symbol) Hans 72". On very thick paper, this measures 24" X 17 3/4". About the artist: Hans Burkhardt (1904-1994) was a Swiss-American expressionist artist and teacher. He was called "One of America's most vital abstract expressionist painters, someone who took the seed of the movement and cultivated it in a rather different way in a very different soil". (Wikipedia) We believe this in excellent condition. The printing is bright, bold, clean and clear. This has been handled and has a few wrinkles.
