Description: Blade is 4.75” long, overall it’s 9.25” and a stout 3/16” thick. Handmade, forged damascus steel with what looks to be an olive wood handle. Full tang. Leather belt or neck sheath. Damascus holds an incredibly sharp edge that is in effect “microserrated” due to the layering of hard and soft steels. The soft wears away at a faster rate and on a microscopic level it’s “serrated”. It’s also way tougher and more flexible than a solid steel blade. On the back of the handle there is a spot that isn’t as well polished as it could be but this doesn’t affect the knife’s use. Damascus steel is not stainless so remember to occasionally oil it and clean or wipe it down after use, but this is just basic common sense that applies to knives and tools. There isn’t any stamp or markings and I don’t know where it’s made, I assume India or Pakistan because the sheath looks like many from there and those countries produce a lot of Damascus steel, it was actually first made in India, so they have a long history of producing Damascus steel blades. It’s very sharp and has never been used. I’m selling this one fairly cheap because I got it in a lot of knives in a trade. Great using knife or a nice gift for a kid just starting out in knives, or something to use as a camping or hunting knife.
