Description: Half wave plates for red wavelengths in odd mount. Waveplate is attached with 3 drops of adhesive to a ring. This ring has another bent ring attached to it with a single tiny screw. This assembly is placed inside a rotatable mount and held in place by 2 set screws. It is positioned at an angle in the mount. I can only assume this is to keep back reflections away. From my experience, waveplates work best straight on and not at an angle. Hard to tell if plates are glass or polymer. They are slightly larger than 1/2" dia., I get .55" dia., so this may be of concern if you have a tight 1/2" rotation mount. The outer mount is 1" diameter so should fit larger rotation stages.
