Description: Please take the time to read through my entire item description and view all the photographs. I consistently prepare accurate and detailed descriptions and provide clear close up photographs and video when appropriate for all my listings. The aforementioned notwithstanding, note the photos are still the biggest and most important part of this or any description. As the old saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words". If you would like additional photos or have specific questions just message me and I will respond ASAP. For your consideration is this pair of genuine ANTIQUE BROWN COLORED GUTTA-PERCHA GRIP PANELS with the corresponding grip screw for a small UNKNOWN antique revolver. I've owned these grip panels for over 60 years and only recently came across them while going through my gun safe. Again, please note, I do not know which make or model revolver these grip panels were originally installed and/or any other model they may possibly fit. The two panels are obviously a matching set of grips and align nicely with each other. Although somewhat difficult for me to obtain precise measurements, when I measured the back side of each panel, I determined the panels are approximately 1.0” across the center (directly over the screw-hole) and almost 2.25” long as measured from the bottom edge (toe) of the grip across the center to the top edge. Refer to description photos #12, #13, #14, #15, #16, #17, #18 and #19 to confirm the size dimensions and the different ruler measurements I described. The panels are authentic antiques and very old. They have seen many years of use and handling as their once textured Gutta-Percha surface has nearly been completely worn away and are now smooth to the touch. Refer to the description photos to confirm the condition of the grip panels and for more details about what I have described. Although the grip panels have no cracks and/or repairs, as a matter of full disclosure, there are (2) two noted condition issues (old damage) that are itemized as follows. 1. The back upper edge of the RIGHT grip panel has a very small approximately 2/16” long chip located along the outer edge where the panel meets the grip frame. Refer to description photos #1, #2, #4, #5, #8, #11, #16 and #17 that show the relative size and location of the noted chip. Refer to all the aforementioned description photos to verify the noted damages and for more details about what I have described. 2. The bottoms on BOTH grip panels are missing a portion of the “butt” as can be seen and confirmed in description photos #1, #2, #3, #4, #6, #7, #8, #9 and #10. Refer to all the aforementioned description photos to verify the noted damages and for more details about what I have described. The surfaces on both grip panels have almost completely wore off the textured pattern that once originally adorned the panels. To that end, both panels are very smooth to the touch and have acquired an attractive natural age patina and color that is very appealing both visually and feel. Please refer to all the description photos for more details about what I have described. The grip screw measures approximately 14/16” in overall length with approximately 3/16” length of threaded end. The screw is in very good condition and the threads are crisp and show no signs stripping. The head on the screw is a “regular” head and also remains in very good condition showing normal wear and having no symptoms of the slot having been heavily “buggered” and/or marred. Overall, this is a good opportunity for someone who wants to acquire a small authentic pair of antique revolver grips, or an original period grip screw as a replacement, for a small caliber antique revolver in their collection they may be able to utilize as a substitute until they are able to locate an original set of properly fitting grips. Again, please note; these authentic antique revolver grip panels and screw are obviously not in pristine condition and have the aforementioned damage issues as described. For these reasons the panels are being offered at a very reasonable price. To that end, these grips are being sold in "AS IS" condition for "PARTS AND/OR REPAIR". Please be sure you understand exactly what you are considering purchasing and what your specific needs and expectations are for these grips prior to purchasing. Please look at the description photos closely as they confirm the accurate condition of the grips and grip screw I describe and depict exactly what you will receive if you purchase this set. If you have any questions or concerns or would like additional photographs, to assist in your evaluation and consideration, please email me and I will respond ASAP.
