Gorgeous Heirloom Quality Handmade Bedspread, Multicolored, King Size

Description: For your consideration is an absolutely gorgeous handmade, hand crocheted/knitted heirloom quality bedspread. It was made by my grandmother who was an expert quilter and knitter. She made it for my mom back in approximately the early 1980's. My mom saved it for me as a keepsake, packed away carefully in a trunk. Unfortunately, I never used it because it didn't fit my decor. I love it but have decided to part with it and sell it to someone who will more fully appreciate it! Size: Pictured is the bedspread on a California King in my mom's bedroom. I did my best to measure the spread so the measurements of 105 x 114 are approximate. Today's beds are very different than back in the 1980's. If your mattress is tall as many are today, it might not come all the way down to the ground on a King. Or it might fit a Queen mattress also. It just depends. So please measure your mattress and what your needs are. California Kings are bigger than regular Kings and this did fit a California King back in the 80's. Again, you need to measure and be sure before buying. The bottom of the spread is black fringe. The colors are as bright and vibrant as the day my grandmother made this bedspread. She was such a creative person and used colors in an amazing way. It's actually a very dramatic looking spread! Multi colors of blues, purples, yellows, reds, with black stiching between the squares. Wow! Truly eye-catching! The pillows pictured do NOT come with the spread. This spread has never been cleaned, and shows no evidence of any sort of soil whatsoever. My mom only had it on her bed once or twice, because she felt it was too nice to use (lol) and she wanted to pass it down to me. So there's truly no need to have this item cleaned. A minor freshening up with some Febreze would be all it needs. This is not a lined bedspread, so there is no quilting or fill on the back of it. Front and back are the same. Shipping cost will depend on your zip code. This will be heavy to ship, approximately 14-15 lbs weight, so it will be shipped either UPS or FEDEx, depending on which will be least expensive based on your location. It was hard to totally lay it out and get it measured, but I think I am in the general ballpark on size.
