GOLDEN BEETLE / INSECT, Antique Black Glass Pictorial BUTTON, 1800s, Small

Description: Antique clothing button was probably produced in the 1800s or early 1900s. The button is made of black glass which has a recessed depiction of a beetle / bug / insect. The insect design is enhanced with a gold paint/luster -- so that the image will stand out. The button has is a built-in, self-shank on the back. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact sizes of the buttons. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The button may have slight surface wear or small dings along the edges -- but there are no cracks, larger chips, or other more serious flaws. It is in very nice shape and it will display beautifully. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York.
