Description: Goebel M.I. Hummel # 143/0 - "Boots" - Just over 5.5" Tall (Largest Size for 143/0) - Full Bee (TMK-2) - West Germany Stamp - Vibrant Colors with some Gloss - Closed Edition - Permanently Retired HUM 143/0 Boots - TMK-2 Height Just over 5.5" (5-1/2") When first modeled by master sculptor Arthur Meller in 1940, this figurine was produced in one size only with the incised number 143. A smaller size was issued in the mid 1950s with the incised model number 143/0. (The one for sale in this listing.) At the same time, the large size was changed to 143/1. There have been many size variations between older and newer models; with older pieces slightly larger. Two super rare versions exist; in a white overglaze finish and a terra cotta finish. This listing is an older version with the full bee trademark, standing at a little over 5.5" tall, which is slightly past the maximum height listed in the catalogs' 5" to 5.5" height range. The original name in older catalogs was listed as "Shoemaker". Both sizes of this hummel were restyled with the new textured finish by master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek in the late 1970s. Both sizes were permanently retired by Goebel on December 31st 1998 and will Not be produced again. See below for the specifications: Has "" Full Bee (TMK-2) stamped in Blue on underside of base. There is an incised circle around the trademark. Incised Hummel Number "143/0" and Factory Control Number "36" on underside of base. Incised "M.J. Hummel" on rear Top side of base. Stamped "West Germany" in black on underside of base. Hummel is just over the tallest range of height listed in the catalogs, standing at a little over 5.5" high. (Catalog Lists 5"-5.5") Colors are Vibrant and do retain some Gloss! Closed Edition. This figurine was Permanently Retired in 1998 and will Not be produced again! Hummel is in Good condition considering it's age. No Touch Ups! No Chips! No Repairs! It was sitting in the China Cabinet for decades and may have some dust. There is some minor crazing present throughout the piece, with majority of the crazing on the base. It is not very noticeable unless you look very closely with bright light and magnification. I took a picture with and without the light and magnification. (Final two pictures) Buyer to pay actual shipping expense determined by eBay. I Never profit from shipping.
