Description: Very rare and hard to find all original Copper Gilbert Cathedral Clock in base copper with what's left of the shiny copper plating. This alarm clock is amazing and is hard to part with as a clock guy. Openwork copper clock made by one of America's most trusted clock companies - William L. Gilbert, commonly referred to as WH L. Gilbert Clock Co. The Gilbert clock company was in Winstead, CT. This clock had it's 1st patent in 1896. This version is from 1904. The brass cased alarm feature is located on the back with a dial face to set the alarm. This is an amazing piece of Americana clock craftsmanship. The face has stylized arabic numerals, a gold rosette on the dial center, and blue steeled hands. The clock has a steel bezel and an intact original crystal. On the front of the dial is a for Gilbert and in the bottom reads - "Made in the United States of America by WH L. Gilbert Clock Co. Winstead, Conn." Ships USPSGA 8 pounds in a 12" x 12" x 14" box with insurance and signature confirmation. No porch pirates on this beauty.
