Description: Here I have for sale a nice copy of Gertrude Stein's Brewsie and Willie in hardcover with dust jacket published in this 2nd printing by Random House in 1946. A wonderful and warm recounting of all the American GIs flocking to Gertrude and Alice's apartment after the war and finding solace and comfort there. Enjoyed immensely. The book is Good+ with tight binding. The boards have some scuffing and staining. The endpapers are heavily stained and there is significant foxing throughout. With the exception of a stain here and there, the pages are clean and unmarked. The dust jacket is Very Good with still bright colors. There is some small chipping around the edges, some scuffing and staining. Sun darkening to inside edges. It is not price-clipped and is protected in mylar.
