This is a 1959 Post Cereal exclusive offering produced by F and F! Open window boats might be the rarest Post Cereal offering including cars and trucks as the early production front windows on these boats were difficult to make without damaging the pillars, and they found that the window frame was collapsing before it arrived in the customers hands. So after early issues with complaints of damage, F and F went back and retooled to make the boats have a filled in windshield that was less susceptible to damage. This one is in excellent condition and from the earliest production runs since the window frame is intact and in great shape…perfect with no damage or modifications! Look, it still has the flashing around the pillars! Most of these have been cleaned up which diminishes the original as well as the collector value! This one has never been modified and it has been owned for years by a serious adult collector in a home which is smoke and pet free! Not sure a nicer one exists than this one! A photo reproduction of the original Post Grape Nuts cereal box is included with this rare boat which is of museum quality and should not be considered as a toy! In other words, It should be in the hands of a serious collector!
