Description: This little unassuming perfume bottle has quite a story to tell. After hours of researching, there is not another to be found anywhere & I looked at length. What I do know is this company was started by two British men, Potter & Moores in Mitcham, England. They focused on “physics” gardening and in particular, the beautiful lavender fields of Mitcham. They began their company of beauty and bath products in 1749 & were so popular, they moved to London post haste into a building they called the “Lavender House.” They were bought out several times & are still in production today. Lavender was their specialty and when a young WWII soldier was on his way home in 1946, he bought this bottle for his wife. This little bottle made its way in his duffel bag all the way to the middle of the country. The original tag & ribbon are intact. The bottle is covered with wicker to replicate the baskets of lavender in their logo. The cap looks like a crown & is metal, as is the top plate and threaded “male” end. There is no perfume in this bottle. Measurements: 3 3/4”T bottom to top of cap and 4 3/4”T bottom to top of wicker handle 2” diameter at the belly Weight: 2 oz 15:20 /2 omg v X
