Temple Thurston (1879-1933) – Author of “The City of Beautiful Nonsense,” “The Garden of Resurrection,” etc. It was published by Chapman & Hall, Ltd., of London, and is the 1912 (date of title page and dedication) FIRST EDITION. A collection of thirteen short stories by Ernest Temple Thurston a prolific English author. He wrote a total of forty novels, from which seventeen motion pictures were made. In addition, he authored several theatrical plays, three of which were performed on Broadway and four of which were made into motion pictures. The book measures 7.75 inches x 5.5 inches x 1.25 inches and has 279 pages, which are hand-cut to the bottom rims. The book is in good, neat condition for its age, with minor wear/bumps to the original cloth hardback cover, with foxing to the rims. The binding is good save the blank page at the front is missing/removed, with no other loose or missing pages. There are no ink or pencil writings/markings in the book. There is no dust-jacket.
