Description: Dick Dale King of the Surf Guitar SIGNED LP 1983 LIVE at the Golden Bear in HB Classic Rock & Roll Treasures from Saturday's Toys presents... an original 33.3rpm album by the legendary "King of the Surf Guitar": Dick Dale (original 1983 release; long before the 1986 re-release by Rhino Records) Recorded LIVE in June 1982 and released in 1983; as recorded exclusively at Southern California's historic Golden Bear nightclub in Huntington Beach. Features personally inscribed autograph signature of rock legend Dick Dale on the front cover: "Jason - Surf's up - Dick Dale" / as signed with black Sharpie pen. The Golden Bear was permanently closed in 1986 and was demolished soon afterward. Fortunately, Dick Dale (aka Richard Monsour; 1937 - 2019) had the foresight to lay down these classic surf tracks while the iconic club was still hosting live entertainment. Less than four years after this recording was made, the club was lost forever due to seismic (unreinforced masonry) issues that management was unable to resolve before the iconic venue was was forced to close forever. Album cover is well worn with noticeable surface loss on front and back cover, as shown (see photos; particularly on back cover). Still an impressive display item with vinyl in very good condition; appears to have been seldom played.
