Description: Gideon Rettich Woodworker CUSTOM ORDER - Chair in photos has been sold Originally made in 1963, the Steltman Chair was originally commissioned by Steltman jewelers in The Hague, as seating for betrothed couples perusing wedding rings. In fact only two were made, and the surviving one is now in Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum. Chairs in photos were made from cherry and ash but I can use other species such as oak, walnut, maple and others depending on color attributes you want. Painted is available as well with clear coat finishes for extra. The chair in the photographs measures approximately 28.25" tall x 21.5" wide x 17.5" deep. The seat height is about 16" from the floor, the owner is using this in his entry way, it's more of a bench height. Sizes can differ as well without losing the original intent of the form. I can also adjust the orientation of the arm rest as right or left. Shipping via FedEx/UPS or other private insured carrier depending on size. Shipping price quoted is for a chair of the size specified above, shipping will vary based on size. Local pick up and drop off can be arranged as well.
