Care Instructions for Indian Curry Leaves Tree Offshoots (Murraya Koenigii): Planting:Use a well-draining potting mix with a mix of sandy soil, compost, and perlite.Plant the offshoot with the root base slightly below the soil surface. Ensure the base is stable and upright. Watering:Water sparingly but consistently to keep the soil moist (not soggy). Overwatering can cause root rot.Use a spray bottle or gentle watering can to moisten the soil around the root base. Light:Place the plant in a location with bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct, harsh sunlight as it can stress the plant.Gradually expose it to more light as it begins to grow roots. Temperature & Humidity:Curry leaf plants prefer warm temperatures between 70–90°F (21–32°C). Protect the plant from cold drafts or temperatures below 50°F (10°C).Maintain moderate humidity levels. You can use a humidity tray or mist the plant occasionally. Root Development:Be patient! It may take a few months for new active roots to develop. Avoid disturbing the plant during this time.Monitor for signs of growth, such as new leaves or shoots, which indicate that the roots are forming. Fertilizer:Once active roots and leaves begin to grow, feed the plant with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer (e.g., 10-10-10) every 4–6 weeks during the growing season.Avoid fertilizing until the plant shows signs of active growth. Leaf Growth:If your plant does not have leaves initially, don’t worry. Once the roots are established, it will grow new foliage. Repotting:Once the plant has developed active roots and outgrows its current pot, transfer it to a slightly larger pot to encourage healthy growth. Note: Patience is key with these offshoots.
