Description: Lewis, C.S. The Problem of Pain. London: The Centenary Press, 1941. Offered for sale is a copy of C.S. Lewis's The Problem of Pain--in its first edition, the fifth impression, of June 1941.* This copy, which retains the jacket, was withdrawn from a library and bears the usual stamps and paste-downs. The jacket is in good condition, notwithstanding some loss, at the spine, where a classification label once stood. The volume is in very good condition, free of underscores, annotations, &c.--though it is toned throughout, owing (presumably) to wartime constraints on the manufacture of paper. The jacket has been secured in a mylar protector. The book will be posted by USPS Media Mail. Buyers abroad will be served by eBay's International Shipping Program. *N.B. Centenary describes this impression as a "Fifth Edition."
