Description: ORIGINAL 1960 Little Golden Activity Book "CINDERELLA The Story of Cinderella and the Prince, with Paper Dolls to Punch Out and Dress", pictures by GORDON LAITE, Book #A36 printed in 1960 by Little Golden Press, Printed in the U.S.A. by Western Printing and Lithographing Company, Published by Golden Press, Inc., Rockefeller Center, New York. RARE and SPECIAL. NOTE: EXCELLENT CONDITION. Paper Dolls have been punched out, but are included! See photos for all dolls’ clothes and other items cut out from the book. Only missing that I could see are a small clock, broom and bird cage. I will provide to the buyer copies of photos of the uncut book, which I found online for comparison (see last 6 photos for example [#13-16] - they are not part of the sale but are included to show uncut pages). Pinterest features a number of these photos. In this book, Paper Dolls have been punched out, but all are included with this book and are in very fine, near perfect shape, as they are of a heavier cardboard unlike the paper clothes. Clothes have been cut out and very carefully so. They are shown in photos and are included in this sale, along with an envelope full of other items such as a dog, a glass slipper on a cushion, some hats, including a crown and several replacement heads for Cinderella. On the first page of heavy stock from which Dolls were punched out, there are a few other items like a pumpkin still attached in the book. The story book portion is complete and in excellent shape - no marks, no flaws. The binding is nice and tight, pages are securely attached. This book is in excellent condition, does not appear to have been used much except for cutouts. No marks or writing on the covers, inside or out, no scratches, the surface of the covers has minor surface rubs, but there are no marks or writing on the pages. The gold foil binding is completely intact, no wear, corners of book and edges are sharp. The pages have very slight browning from age on the edges, the punch-out paper dolls of Cinderella and the Prince are printed on the front and back of the first page of the book (which is heavier cardstock) and are completely intact. In the back of the book there were originally 4 pages of clothing (front and back of each outfit), which are cut out but are completely intact. The pictures in this book by Gordon Laite are beautiful, with gorgeous details and colors. Elegant and special with consultation from Dr Mary Reed of Columbia University. The paper dolls and clothing are perfect for this story. Some of the costumes were labeled as "House Dress", "Garden Dress", "Town Dress and Shawl", "Evening Scarf" to put over the gown, "Hair Style for Ball" to be put on first then put on the gown, along with several ball gowns, hats, fans, and costumes for the prince. These details can be seen in the photos I will send from the uncut book or the buyer can find these online. A few photos as included as the last photos included here (#13-18). This is a wonderful book which consists of the beautifully illustrated story of Cinderella, along with Paper Dolls of the Prince and Cinderella, and many costumes for them to wear. This book has been carefully stored and comes from a smoke-free and pet-free climate controlled home, no musty smell. A Beautiful Vintage Version of CINDERELLA with Paper Dolls of Her and the Prince, with Many Costumes, to Add to Your Little Golden Book Collection!!!
