Description: THIS WATCH HAS NEVER BEEN OPENED. The only picture I have taken is the cardboard outer with it's seal still intact. The rest of the photos are the press photos issued at the time. Important: If this watch goes through the eBay Verification Service, they will invariably open it. You can collect in person if you want that exquisite seal pulling moment of joy all to yourself. International Shipping is only offered through the eBay global shipping programme. NB - they may ALSO open the box to verify the contents and I cannot be held responsible. We are a smoke free pet free household. This watch was limited to 100 pieces and sold out in a few minutes. Because the box is sealed, I don't even know the number. It will be between 01 and 99 though. Orders were taken on the 2nd April 2024, with delivery in June - so plenty of manufacturer's warranty is left. With only 100 of these in existance, the chances of seeing another are miniscule. The Christopher Ward × Oracle Time C65 Dune ShorelineAfter a year of development, Christopher Ward and Oracle Time announced the incredibly exciting crossover The C65 Dune Shoreline wristwatch. It is a watch with a dial inspired by the rugged, changeable coast of the British Isles, and the greys and dare I say Tiffany like blue, are the best combo I've seen out of Christopher Ward. The C65 Dune Shoreline is based on the Christopher Ward C65 Dune in steel with a 38mm diameter, a seriously cool field watch with 150m water resistance. Although technically the Shoreline is hybridised with the bronze COSC editions because CW have never produced a steel chronometer edition of the Dune and the Dune Shoreline is indeed chronometer certified. The inspiration for the design of this celebratory piece comes from the dune landscape of Cerro Blanco in Peru. One of Oracle Time‘s founders visited the famous spot, and when he returned to the UK, he found similarities with the rugged, dramatic UK shoreline. Aesthetically, there is a lovely retro, faintly militaristic vibe of the brushed steel design and smooth bezel. In fact, the only change made to the classic case itself is the discreet Oracle Time name inscribed on the caseback. Nice and subtle so you won’t even know this is a collaboration watch unless you really want to show people. The Amazing DialAs you’ve cannot fail to have noticed, the single biggest stand out feature of this watch is the visually striking dial. The initial concept came from the incredible ripple patterns found in the sand and so CW and Oracle Time set out to make a 3D, textured sand pattern that embodied it. The team at Christopher Ward had been working on numerous new processes to create a wave or ripple like pattern on the dial of their watches, and so this was pounced on for this concept. In a great move, the date window of the regular C65 Dune Automatic has been removed, so the ripples are not interrupted, creating a nicely balanced dial. But that is not where the story ends. There is a nice bit of contrast that comes in the form of the hands and applied markers filled with blue Super-LumiNova BL Grade X1. These represent the glimpses of blue in the sky in between the gray clouds. Regarding the process for creating the dials, William Brackfield, Christopher Ward’s Watch Designer, said, “we used this project as a way of experimenting with 3D forming. We spent a lot of time altering the profile and depth of the peaks to try and give a real look of motion that the Oracle Time team requested. The brass dials are created using a negative of the pattern with pressure coming from a hydraulic press. Then the dial print, marking the watch’s chronometer status and depth rating, is applied before a final clear lacquer.” Strap OptionsThe dial and case can be matched with three different strap options. The first is the gray Vacona leather strap that features contrasting blue stitching, matching the dial design perfectly. The second option is Christopher Ward’s brilliant stainless steel Bader bracelet. This three-link Oyster-style bracelet features a large folding clasp with a toolless micro-adjustment system, and it is one of the best bracelets on the market in this price bracket. The C65 Dune Automatic is an adaptable canvasOverall, the look of this new limited-edition timepiece is quite stunning, and it fits the retro styling of the C65 Dune Automatic well. Just as a quick reminder, the C65 Dune Automatic is an Explorer-style watch with a 38mm case that is 11.9mm thick and 43.7mm long with a 20mm lug spacing. The case is water resistant to 150 meters and features a display case back with a sapphire crystal. It gives you a glimpse of the Sellita SW200-1 that powers the watch. MovementOracle Time and Christopher Ward opted for the COSC-certified version of this automatic movement. It operates at 28,800vph and offers a 38-hour power reserve. As it is a COSC-certified chronometer, the accuracy will be within +6/-4 seconds per day. This Elaboré-grade version of the movement also comes with the Christopher Ward twin-flag-pattern rotor. Indeed, the SW200-1 is a logical option as it also powers the regular C65 Dune Automatic. But by choosing the COSC-certified version, the collaborators provide a nice upgrade in accuracy that fans will appreciate. WarrantyChristopher Ward state that the warranty is transferable if proof of original purchase is provided. That proof is included within the sealed box and this ebay auction confirms the product was consentually transferred if they ask.
