Description: Chelsea Walls/Jeff Tweedy & The Slaughter Rule/Jay Farrar 2 OST WILCO UNCLE TUPELO CDs CD’s surfaces & artwork are in VG+ condition. The Slaughter Rule CD has a hole cleanly punched in the bar code (that isn’t punched through the plastic case) so this is what we used to call a “cut-out”. I grade the CD’s and artwork, & make sure the plastic case is intact inside and out. The CD cases may have a tiny scratch or two: please see photos of actual item on offer including CD surface and plastic CD case. Jeff Tweedy & Jay Farrar were in Uncle Tupelo together, and when the band split after recording Anondyne, they each started their own bands. Tweedy started WILCO, and Farrar started SON VOLT. Naturally, fan’s loyalties were divided. I’ve paired these two soundtracks to allow followers of each camp to compare the two’s individual work in the movie soundtrack arena. Chelsea Walls by Jeff Tweedy and The Slaughter Rule by Jay Farrar. Chelsea Walls contains some of Tweedy/Wilco’s best work and it contains a song with actor/singer Steve Zahn, who you may remember was in the band The Wonders from the Tom Hanks film; That Thing You Do. One reviewer (Jason Verlinde) wrote “Tweedy's electric guitar instrumentals are both memorable and haunting, ready to erupt into distortion at any moment.” Worth having for the cover of John Lennon’s Jealous Guy (by jazz vocal legend Jimmy Scott), alone! For The Slaughter Rule, Jay Farrar incorporated cuts by Vic Chestnutt, Freakwater, Ryan Adams and Uncle Tupelo, as well as music he wrote for the film.
