Description: Here we have a CHALLENGER, U.S.A. No. 05705, 7 Piece Open End SAE Wrench Set in Roll-Up Wrap. UNUSED !! The Penens Corporation is known primarily for its operation as a subsidiary of Plomb Tool (and later Proto). As a subsidiary of Plomb, Penens had an office in Los Angeles, and its manufacturing facility was initially at Menard Street in Chicago. In 1947 Penens registered a trademark for "Fleet Quality Tools" and produced Fleet branded tools for a number of years. In addition to the Fleet brand, Penens also produced tools for the "Challenger" brand, at least up until the early 1960s. Proto eventually became part of the mighty Stanley Black & Decker empire. Challenger tools were considered to be ‘High-Quality’ and offered at a ‘Value’ price. The set is EXCELLENT 'little used' condition if at all. No tool 'use' marks on any of the wrenches. The set ranges from 1/4" up to 1". Heavy vinyl roll up wrap with two grommets at the top for hanging on a wall. Set weighs a little over 3 lbs. ** Please remember to leave Feedback.
