To reduce overall tripod weight while still maintaining intended loading capacity at 150 kg (331 lbs.) all locking knobs and leg castings are made of a high strength blend of polymers and fiberglass, resulting in a superior combination of loading capacity and operational comfort. Cartoni engineers designed the aluminum alloy Mitchell base, to flawlessly integrate the leg castings, thus forming a torsion-free structure. Six high quality carbon fiber tubes with a diameter of 2.5 cm (1”) and a thickness 1 mm are the ultimate solution for the operator needing a lightweight system with high loading capacity.
