Description: This is a first edition copy of Canon City, Colorado: Every Picture Tells a Story, by Larry Thomas Ward. It was published by Nicolas Lawrence Books in 2005. The book is inscribed to me. From the book jacket: "It was an authentic Wild West town, with stagecoaches, saloons, barfights, hangings, shootings, and vigilante justice. By the 1890s, Canon City had grown from its days of lawlessness to become one of the most agriculturally advanced areas in the country. ..only to see it end by the 1940s. Accompanied by more than 200 vintage photographs..." The book is in really nice condition. A bit smudgy on the glossy cover. No rips or tear or yellowing. There's some crinkling on the bottom of the dust jacket spine. The actual book cover front and back is the same as the front and back of the dust jacket. If you're interested in a history of American West towns during the late 1800s, this would be a great book to have on your nightstand and in your library. Buyer pays $11 to ship by FedEx Ground or FedEx Home, or USPS Priority Mail. Thank you.
