Description: This is a Byers Choice Colonial Williamsburg Christmas Fife/Flute player that stands 13 7/8" tall and 5" wide. The colonial figurine fife player is dressed in traditional military uniform ready to accompany the militia. He is wearing the long sleeved red coat along with blue trim and white breeches and tri-corner hat and black gold buckled shoes/boots on his feet. He has a 3 1/2" fife/flute he is playing. He comes with Original Hang Tags. Stationed behind the lines the fife player was officially attached to each company of men in both the European and American military forces during the 18th century. He is in excellent condition, slight chipping on base that has been touched up. Byers' Choice collaborated with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation to create a line of pieces depicting characters from the Revolutionary-era Virginia.
