Description: Bruno Walter conducting the New York Philharmonic in MONO recordings from the early 1950s: Brahms' Third Symphony, Fourth Symphony, Haydn Variations, Tragic Overture, Academic Festival Overture, and Hungarian Dances. These are CD #24 and CD #25 from the big Sony "Bruno Walter – The Complete Columbia Album Collection" box set. NOTE - YOU ARE BIDDING ON THE TWO CDS ONLY. NO JACKETS OR CASE ARE INCLUDED. CD'S WILL BE PACKED IN PLAIN WHITE ENVELOPE SLEEVES. BOTH CDS LOOK COSMETICALLY LIKE NEW. HOWEVER, THERE IS A FLAW IN CD #24 - ON ONE OF MY CD PLAYERS, DURING THE THIRD MOVEMENT OF THE 3RD SYMPHONY THE DISC DOES NOT PLAY PROPERLY FROM APPROXIMATELY 3:35 TO 4:35. THE REST OF THE DISC PLAYS FINE, AND CD #25 PLAYS FINE. ON MY OTHER, NEWER CD PLAYER, BOTH DISCS PLAY FINE WITH NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. Photos are of the actual item for sale.
