Description: Vintage Briggs & Stratton Model A engine, serial #179441. I think that this was made in March 1947. I have not tested this but it looks like it would take very little to get running. The gas tank is very clean, it has good compression, the oil was very clean when I drained it out. There is some surface rust on some areas, the muffler is missing. This could be a cool addition to your collection of vintage Briggs engines. Not sure if the previous owner restored this or if it is in original condition. I lean to it being restored please ask all questions before buying.
