Description: This is an early 1860 hinge mold Barclay's Hair Tonic bottle from Geneva, New York with original label....it just missed being pontiled!.....No embossing in the glass but label is original to bottle I guarantee....BARCLAY'S UNIQUE HAIR TONIC. This preparation, if applied according to directions to Grey Hair will gradually restore it to its original color. It is a remedy for Scald Head, removes dandruff...etc....Manufactured by Geo.Barclay Geneva, N.Y.....Only a small part of the original back label is still there....Bottle is hand blown in mold, bimal....early smooth base with straight hinge mold seam across bottom...crude applied square ring lip...aqua...rect with 4 sunken panels.....6 3/4"tall....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. An attic find with dried content residue inside. Still has original cork in neck. I had never heard of this one before!....This bottle was found in an attic along with some pontiled bottles so I know that the label is original to this bottle... .We just cant keep everything, so after 50 years of digging and collecting we have decided to part with many of our bottles (to make room for more..haha)...so keep watching our listings as many rare treasures are being found! ....
