Description: This bronze sculpture by Auguste Moreau is a beautiful work from the Romanticism period. It has wonderful patina with very few spots where it has been worn. Auguste was the third son of sculptor and painter Jean Baptiste Moreau. In 1861, he made his debut at the Salon, where he would exhibit regularly until 1913. The statue is 15" tall.
