Description: From my plumb bob collection - Here we have an Antique Large 'Shield-Shaped' Brass Plumb Bob w/ Ornate Long Neck and Maple Display Base, 6"Long. There is no maker mark. This bob is in Good 'used' condition with aged brass finish and wear from use (see pics!). The bob has a wonderfully turned long neck and acorn top. The top is not removeable so you thread your string using the 3 holes. The bob has a short good steel tip that has some minor corrosion marks. The bob has approx. a 2-1/4" dia. body and weighs 2 lb. 5 oz. There are a couple owner marks. A previous owner nicely turned a Maple wood display base.
