Description: This listing is for one (1) antique writing/letter box. The victorian box is thought to be circa 1800's and perhaps a carriage or traveling lap desk. The solid wood box is trimmed in brass and missing much of the interior and the brass trim on the top and locks. The bottom appears to still have the original soft green velvet intact and several remnants of the inlay are still in place. The hinges work very well and is a great vintage storage box or a restorers dream project. Box measures approximately 11 3/4" wide, 5 3/4' height and 8 3/4" in depth.
