I bought it in an antique store for $2500 twenty years ago for my daughter Churchill. I then began to purchase only the very highest quality dolls and accessories available and as Churchill grew older I let her choose new items on her own. All the contents were purchased at Pain des Epices in Paris, regarded as the number one doll house store in the world. Churchill has enjoyed many years and countless hours of extreme pleasure playing with her doll house but as she is now in her early 20's and we are moving to France she says " we need to let some little girl enjoy it". Surely there is at least one person in Sarasota who understands the meaning of true quality. I never allowed my child to possess any horrid pink garbage made of plastic. Children learn a sense of quality and value at an early age. I spent $5,000 in total on the doll house and contents. There are battery operated LED lights in each room. It creates a magical world at night fostering a great sense of imagination. When I see the Ferrari's, Bentley's etc. on Siesta Key where I live, I have to believe that at least someone will purchase this as the perfect gift of lasting value for their child or grandchild. We would never sell except Churchill is a very high functioning Autistic and does not intend to have children of her own. The doll house is mounted on a very sturdy frame with rubber wheels, Churchill was able to move about her room by herself even as a very young child. It measures 48" long, 28 1/2" wide and 48" tall. The rear porch could be removed and reattached by a skilled wood worker if this is required to fit through a small doorway.
