Description: Fantastic cosmetic example, great dial, just a bit dusty, superb case, all doors closing crisply, hinges in great condition, loop in good order. Dial is plain with roman numerals and minute track, hands are beautiful blued steel. Nice big size, slightly larger than most English watches from the same period. Movement is serial 894815 from circa 1876, featuring blued screws, engraved balance cock and gild plates. It is not ticking, so will need overhaul/service. The hairspring looks in good order. The balance wheel doesn't oscillate back and forward, but with a toothpick gently touching it it will rotate, then springs back to position, so it seems to be on its pivots. I suspect oil in the movement has gummed up over time. Would be well worth bringing back to running order and polishing the silver case. to be sent tracked.
